Italy: Suspension of physical representation at General Meetings
Clearstream Banking1 informs customers that physical representation at General Meetings has been suspended in Italy until further notice.
The current number of General Meetings announced in the Italian market is still residual, and with the publication of the Decree-Law no. 18/2020 of 17 March 2020, that creates exceptional and temporary measures concerning the epidemiological situation.
However, it should be noted that the exceptions provided for in the Decree shall only apply with respect to the shareholder meetings convened by 31 July 2020 or by any later date, if the state of emergency in Italy persists.
If alternative solutions are proposed and officially confirmed by each issuing company such as:
- the delegation of the vote to their Board of Directors;
- the use of correspondence voting either via traditional mail or via electronic correspondence; or
- remote access to the General Meeting,
we will inform you via an MT564.

We will closely monitor the situation and inform customers of any changes.
